Privacy Policy
Last updated: July 19, 2026
1. Privacy by architecture
Markway is built local-first: your CRM data — conversations, fan profiles, platform credentials, analytics — lives on your own machine, in an encrypted store bound to your Windows user account. We did not build a cloud that hosts your business data; there is nothing of it for us to lose, sell or subpoena.
2. What our servers do process
To operate licensing and the managed AI, our backend processes the strict minimum:
- License validation — a cryptographic hash of your license key and hashed (non-reversible) machine identifiers. We never see raw hardware identifiers.
- Usage metering — token counters per billing period. Counters only: the content of AI conversations is relayed transiently for processing and is not stored on our servers.
- Support — emails you send us, and the address they come from.
3. Payments
Purchases are processed by Lemon Squeezy, LLC as Merchant of Record. Your payment details (card number, billing address) go to Lemon Squeezy, not to us; their privacy policy governs that processing. We receive order metadata needed to activate your license (order id, license status, product variant).
4. Third-party processors
We use a small number of infrastructure providers to run the licensing and AI relay (hosting and database in the EU where available, AI inference upstream). These providers process data on our instructions and do not use it for their own purposes.
5. What we never do
- We do not sell or rent personal data. Ever.
- We do not use your conversations to train AI models.
- We do not track you across other websites.
6. Retention
License and metering records are kept while your license exists and as long as required for accounting and fraud-prevention purposes. Local data is yours: uninstalling the app leaves it on your machine, deleting the Markway data folder removes it permanently.
7. Your rights (GDPR)
If you are in the EU/EEA you may request access, rectification, erasure, restriction, or portability of the personal data we process, and you may lodge a complaint with your supervisory authority (in France: the CNIL). Write to contact@markway.tech — we answer within one month.
8. Changes
Material changes to this policy will be announced on this page with a new “Last updated” date.
